Climate Innovations
Initiatives that aim to address the climate crisis by developing innovative solutions that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, mitigate the effects of climate change, and promote climate resilience.
Examples: A multinational in Riga launching a carbon-neutral initiative; an SME in Kaunas initiating its first tree-planting event; consortiums in Tallinn fostering sustainable collaborations; policymakers drafting sustainability regulations in Vilnius; Tartu municipality's water technology pilots; NGOs partnering with corporates to promote eco-friendly initiatives; tech startups in Liepāja devising innovative climate technologies backed by investors. Any solution mitigating ecological damage is eligible.

SEPT 12 - OCT 16
EVALUATION
Organizations and individuals apply for chosen categories by filling in an online form. Applicants can apply in more than one category. Application form is united for the five thematic categories, however, it differs for the Sustainability Ambassador category.
OCT 16 - NOV 19
JURY EVALUATION
Application forms are used for the evaluation. Category specific jury members evaluate all eligible applications by allocating individual scores based on the evaluation criteria.
NOV 23
FINALISTS ANNOUNCED
TOP 3 finalists of the Sustainability Awards 2023 are announced in each category. For the Sustainability Ambassador category separate TOP 3 is selected from each country - Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.

PROMOTION & PREPERATION
Finalists in five thematic categories prepare their Final Pitches for the Jury members to be pitched during the Awards ceremony. In the meantime, the public is choosing their winners in the Sustainability Ambassador category.
