Nuno Quental is a Project Adviser at the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency, where he manages and monitors projects that support innovative startups in decarbonization. With extensive experience in policy development at the European Commission, he has contributed to the establishment of key initiatives like Breakthrough Energy Ventures – Europe.

His career spans roles in energy research, project management, and environmental policy, including coordinating R&D for wind energy under Horizon 2020 and developing the EcoMobility assessment framework at ICLEI. Nuno holds a PhD in Territory Engineering and has a passion for leveraging technology and policy to drive impactful change in energy and sustainable development.
