Agita Livina is a Professor and Director of the Joint PhD Programme in Economics and Business at Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences. With over 23 years of academic experience, she has guided numerous research projects on sustainable tourism development, regional economics, and the management of nature-protected areas.
Her roles include serving as the Director of the Institute of Social, Economic and Humanities Research and as a Latvian Conference Ambassador for the Latvia Convention Bureau. Agita holds a Doctorate in Regional Economics and has studied at institutions like the University at Buffalo and the University of Latvia, bringing a global perspective to her work in environmental and tourism strategy.
